Well, I'm still deliberating whether I should sign up for the event as I truly need to turn ard my life..I love the way I am but somehow it's failing me as I realized of late I've been very complacent & not doing anything productive… Thus, I need you guyz to help me make my decision. Should I attend or should I juz try to motivate myself & work it out the mess I am in rite now?

Well I've never been to one, but my experience is that having a belief system, *any belief system*, helps a person to remain better oriented and focused.
Basically any system is a good system, probably some are better than others, but any self help or self improvement sytem is useful.
You can take Tony's or you can come up with your own, either way. I think its a good idea to get "born again" every once in a while, its a good thing.
Dante, the poet?, described his own personal self improvement system in his autobiographical Pentagruelism (Your basic five day improvement program, administered every five days).
Come to think about it, I bet he sold seats to his program 500 years ago, in 14th century Italy, too, just like Tony does today.
I bet even Nero went to one of these, back in his day. Well maybe not Nero, but I bet people have made a working business of motivating other people for thousands of years.
I once was going to try EST but I had enough fun just going to the sales pitch meetings.
Go, at least you'ld be contributing to the greater social economy. And at least you won't be cynical, the last refuge of the ignorant.

It helps you in certain ways but at the end of the day, it is whether are you going to apply what they have taught you in the seminar.
To me, if we don't apply what we have learned it is just wasting money. But if we apply some of the theory that is being taught to us, I think we may gain more experience and the tactics to apply
So it depends if you are going to apply what you learn at the seminar.

I went to an Anthony Robbins 3 day weekend event a few years ago in Singapore. I regard myself as fairly cynical but i figured i'd give it a shot. I would say it was worth the investment. It took me out of my life to think and some of what he says is very good. some of it was a bit touchy feely American for me ( high fives and hugging)
Out of the 3 days Robbins presented for 1.5 days . The other 1.5 days were other presenters some videos and 2 hours of Robbins trying to sell the more expensive packages. Here are my tips.
1: Take the cheap seats the expensive packages are not worth it. You can see and hear from everywhere.
2: He is good and some of the stuff is very useful. I would recommend anyone to listen to the goal setting piece
3: If you have a great time dont get upsold. Take time after to see if you really want it. Unfortunately they seem to try and take advantage of people who are having a rewarding experience by selling them other very expensive packages at full price.
4: Dont buy anything from the stores they have at the event. Most of them are rip offs. They used to sell very expensive mobile phone radiation killer necklaces at the event i went to. Huge rip off.
5. Makes sure Robbins is actually presenting live and find out how long for. (some times its video tapes and a local person who coordinates – not always bad but should be cheaper) At some of these events they get a big name who presents for 10 minutes and then the rest of the day is with other much cheaper people you never heard of..
In summary Robbins is worth paying to see see provided its clear what you are getting. Some of the people he allows around him I wouldnt let them pay me money to watch them.

Attending the talk will certainly help him and the organizers. You will have to do the hard work to motivate yourself to move away from the present mental set up. That may happen even with out a talk from Mr. Antony Robbins. You should be prepared to change and put into practice what you consider good for yourself. Talk never helped but guidance followed by putting into practice what is learnt certainly helps. Internalization is the key- you have to make a habit of successful practices and thinking .

I consider this stuff and stuff like it to be social work for the masses. Instead of shooting for a quick fix, why not invest in therapy?
